Activity Check
Activity Requirements ▲ Influence ▼ Activity CodeA week before activity is due, a reminder will be posted both in the OOC community and on Plurk.
At the end of the activity period, there will be a warning list for those who have not submitted their activity. These players have a 24 hour grace period to submit their activity, or they will be swept from the game.
We ask for 2 threads with different characters, each with at least 5 comments from your character. Only threads played out on the main RP community,

tabularasa_rp, may be used to pass AC.All activity submitted for an activity period must have been posted during that month. We will allow some wiggle room to account for different time zones. If you are consistently submitting threads with last-minute comments to reach the minimum requirements, however, we may request additional threads or set a stricter deadline for the next AC period.
At least one of your activity threads must have also been started during the activity period. Your other thread may include threads started in previous months, provided the comments submitted still fall under the activity period.
To be considered valid for AC, a thread must be one continuous interaction between one or more characters. A starting prompt or "toplevel" may be counted as part of a thread's comment count; however, if there are multiple responses to a starting prompt or if a thread splits off into two separate interactions, only one continuous thread may be submitted.
There is no hard rule against using the same characters for AC across multiple months, but it is expected that players will be open to CR with a variety of characters and not just a small group of castmates or friends. If we notice a pattern of this, we may request that threads with different characters be used for the next AC period.
Hiatus
If a player expects to be away or otherwise unable to tag for some time, they may request a hiatus, for up to one month. Players on hiatus do not need to submit their activity for that month and will not be given a strike or swept from the game for failing to respond on time. You may still submit partial or full AC if you take a hiatus.
Players cannot take a hiatus two months in a row, or if they have uncleared strikes. We may also refuse a hiatus if there is a pattern of alternating strikes and hiatuses. Please see the Hiatus page for full details on hiatuses and how to request one.
Strikes
If a player does not have enough activity, they may choose to take a strike. To do so, they must reply to their activity top level to claim one. Partial activity may still be submitted when taking a strike.
To clear a strike, the player must submit double the required AC threads in the following month (4 threads of 5+ comments from your character each). Influence may not be claimed for additional threads submitted to clear a strike.
If a player is unable to clear their strike, their character will be swept from the game at the end of the activity period. Characters swept due to strikes must wait 1 month before they can be reapplied for by the same player. If a player with a strike chooses to drop before the end of the AC period, they must still wait 1 month before reapplying for that character.
New Characters
If your character was accepted during the current activity period, you are exempt from the minimum activity requirements for that month. You may submit full or partial activity for influence, but you must leave at least a check-in comment to pass the activity check.
New characters must pass AC at least once before they are permitted to take a strike or hiatus. This means that if a character passes their first AC by check-in only, they may not take a strike or hiatus in their second month.
For every activity check that you pass, your character will accrue points in the form of influence. Influence can be spent on regains and imprints. For more information on the different ways you can spend influence, please see the Canon Imprints & Regains page.
To claim and track your character's influence, you must comment with your activity for that month. You may always submit partial AC in order to claim influence, even if you take a strike, hiatus or check-in for that month.
In addition to the standard amount of influence gained from passing AC, you may also claim a small bonus each month for exceeding certain requirements or participating in events. The bonuses are as follows.

When claiming bonuses, please make sure to clearly indicate which bonus is being claimed for which thread. For the character bonus, you should name the character in your AC comment so we can quickly identify which characters have been used before. For event bonuses, please check the current event to see if a bonus is available and how to claim it.
Influence is not reset upon dropping. If a character is dropped or swept for inactivity and later reapplied for by the same player, they may continue to use their old activity thread and retain all influence gained previously.
Create a blank top-level comment for your character. In the subject line, provide the character name and canon.
